kyle west
As the founder of Vega, Kyle West provides his clients and partners with extensive experience in the renewable energy industry. In late 2019, Kyle founded Vega to serve his renewable energy clients with early/mid/late stage development services, and to date, Vega has delivered valuable services on over 4GW+ of projects.
Before starting Vega, Kyle served as Vice President of Solar Development for Orsted: a Denmark-based multinational power company with a market capitalization of $30 billion USD. Before that, Kyle served as Senior Vice President of Development for Coronal Energy, a subsidiary of Panasonic, during which time the company grew into an operating company with more than $700 million in assets and a 5GW development pipeline of solar and battery storage projects across 20 states.
Kyle’s career in renewable energy began at HelioSage, formerly a Charlottesville-based utility-scale solar development company, where he served as Director of Project Development. While at HelioSage, the team reached national prominence and guided the development of a 300MW portfolio of solar projects for customers including Dominion Energy, Duke Energy, Georgia Power, Gulf Power, Pacific Power, Idaho Power, the Tennessee Valley Authority, and others before selling HelioSage to Coronal Group.
Prior to his career in renewable energy, Kyle held leadership positions at Branch Properties, a private Real Estate Investment Trust, and Unison Site Management, a private equity backed cellular aggregator. Both of these positions anchored Kyle’s future in sophisticated real estate transactions which would prove instrumental during his renewable energy career.
Kyle holds a BA from the University of Virginia.
