For Land Acquisition services - which can be one of the most time intensive and volume heavy endeavors - the full Vega team will handle all outreach, and Kyle West, Vega’s founder, will handle the later stage land negotiations in conjunction with the Client.
What Makes Us Different
Unlike other land acquisition specialists who target numerous industries, provide general land services and often “churn & burn” thru leads in the hopes that something sticks, Vega exclusively caters to renewable energy companies looking for deeply knowledgeable, experienced professionals in their industry, and when conducting outreach to landowners, Vega takes great care to target landowners with a personalized, detailed touch. Here’s what our clients can expect:
Bespoke Landowner Outreach Mailings
All mailings will include personalized letters with the landowner name, references to their exact county/parcel and an explanation of why their property is of interest.
A property card and/or map of the subject property will be enclosed.
A brochure of the Client’s company can also be enclosed.
Vega can use its own letterhead or the Clients.

Willingness to Travel
There is no substitute for looking someone in the eye, so Vega’s team is always willing to make the extra effort to deploy into the market to meet landowners. In our experience, this is essential to closing a transaction.
Conflicts of Interest
With a keen awareness of the growing competitive landscape in the renewable industry, Vega takes great care to protect our Client’s interest by providing exclusivity to the Client at the county level. This way, we only work for one Client in any given county at any given time thus avoiding conflicts. This has successfully mitigated any conflicts since the founding of Vega.
Examples of Renewable Specific Services
Greenfield a project around your point of interconnection (“POI”) via lease and purchase option agreements with terms sufficient to deliver your project to notice to proceed (“NTP”) or commercial operation date (“COD”)
Secure expansion land for your project to reach your target capacity at the outset or after early stage development unveils some development challenges (e.g. wetlands, steep slopes, cultural & historic areas)
Obtain critical easements with the knowledge of what the project requires, e.g.:
Gen-tie: depending on the voltage of the gen-tie, Vega will guide the Client to the correct parameters to accommodate the gen-tie and meet the utility and/or buyer requirements.
Collector lines: usually 34.5kV lines, collector lines are often critical to assemble disparate parcels for a project. Vega has numerous techniques to secure these collector lines – both above and below ground – and can provide technical advice on especially difficult sites (e.g. boring under wetlands).
