After more than a decade leading renewable energy development platforms, the Vega team knows developer’s needs are dynamic due to ever-changing circumstances.  Therefore, Vega has divided its services into two offerings (1) a Full Suite of development services to take a project thru to Notice to Proceed (“NTP”) and (2) Land Acquisition services.

With a Full Suite engagement, Vega’s founder, Kyle West, will be the lead consultant for the project and utilize his experience to deliver a fully de-risked, quality project while working in conjunction with the Client. This engagement includes the following:


Land Acquisition

Bespoke landowner outreach mailings, follow-up calls, site visits and negotiations. For more information on this service, please see Land Acquisition services.

Title Review Management

As most developers know, projects often begin and end with solving real estate title issues, especially during the diligence phase of a sale.  Vega works with the title company the Client has selected to review title and resolve any problematic exceptions in the title. 

Environmental, Engineering & Design Consultant Management

With dozens of projects successfully delivered throughout the region where we’re active, Vega has a vast network of environmental and engineering consulting relationships, knowledge that enables us to vet and recommend the premier consultant for the project’s area.

Interconnection

For distributed generation (“DG”) projects, Vega can analyze the distribution queue and provide an analysis of the capacity on any given circuit, thereby positioning the project for success at the outset. For transmission projects, Vega will provide guidance to help the Client choose a qualified engineering firm to perform shadow/injection studies.  Vega does not perform this analysis but can suggest the best consultant depending on the RTO/ISO/utility service territory.

Discretionary Permitting

As one of the biggest risk items in development, PERMITTING is maybe Vega’s biggest strength. Vega’s track record of success is unparalleled in the industry.  Having managed the discretionary permitting of over 65 projects across the country, Vega’s team has only failed at permitting/entitling 2 of those 65 projects.  This service is likely the greatest value-add for a Client within the Full Suite of services.
